The Best App Known to the Civilization of Man…And Other Cool Stuff
SeeClickFix Community App

Drum roll please…..The best app known to man is SeeClickFix.  I found this last week.  This app allows anyone to report items that need repair or attention to local governments.  A perfect item to share with your database, neighbors, friends and anyone else who cares about their community.

Prime example: Last Saturday I took a picture of some concrete work that needs to be done to a city gutter in front of our house.  Repair that has been much needed for years.  By 10 am Monday, the city had been out and spray painted the area that needed repair.  That’s crazy!  Use this app for a better community!

Brivity is another great app.  I picked this one up at Mega Camp.  This allows you to share real time results with your sellers.  It also has links for every site that the listing appears on.  Very cool!

Blogging for Fun, Leads, and IncomeThis 6-week webinar program from

John Pohly starts Oct. 5th. John is a true expert in generating online leads and this program is well worth it.  You want more leads?  All you have to do is register to get the process going.

KW Agents – Don’t Call It a Comeback!
eagentc

eAgentC websites and Wolfnet are back, with a vengeance!  Technically, they never left, but the training focus has shifted back to them.  eAgentC has a ton of design options and topics that can be created on this template that improves the SEO and lead capture capability for agents that use them.  If your third party website is a money pit, then it is time to look at replacing that with your eAgentC template.

wolfnet

Wolfnet has also upped its game.  Recently, Wolfnet has improved it’s back office to be much more agent friendly.  And coming in January 2013, the new Keller Williams mobile app for Apple and Droid mobile products will have the Wolfnet IDX as the basis for the property search.

Are you circling back and wanting to learn more about eAgentC websites?  Seeing it for the first time?  I am teaching quite a few eAgentC sessions in October.  I can also bring an eAgentC workshop to your MC/Region.  Contact me to start the eAgentC training process.  My team can also take the pain away and enhance the KW websites for you.  View the information in the next block below on how to start the design process.

Keller Williams® Realty, Inc. Announces Expansion into Indonesia, Southern Africa

AUSTIN, TX (September 20, 2012) — Keller Williams Realty, Inc., the second largest real estate company in the United States, announced today at its annual Mega Camp event that its continuing international franchise expansion now includes Indonesia and the Southern Africa region. Mega Camp, held in Austin, TX, boasts more than 11,000 registrations across three major sessions (Mega Technology Camp, Mega Agent Camp, and Mega Leadership Camp) featuring interviews and panels with industry experts and top producing agents.

KW Worldwide President, Chris Heller, announced the signing of the company’s latest overseas master franchisees. “We are always looking for the right people to foster and grow the Keller Williams Realty mission, vision and culture. When we find the right leadership, our goal is to leverage our proven models, systems, and trainings to serve our international communities at the highest level,” said Heller. “We welcome aboard our partners in Indonesia and the Southern Africa region, which includes South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, and Mozambique. We are excited to see them experience the same momentum and growth we have seen in North America.”

Preparations for the newest international market centers are already underway and are located in Pretoria, South Africa and Jakarta, Indonesia. “We are extremely excited and cannot wait for our opportunity to offer the South African real estate industry the Keller Williams value proposition,” said master franchisor, Johan Gouws. “We simply cannot carry on in the South African real estate industry the way things are now. Keller Williams is the company of change for us; the company for agents, by agents. Over the past year [my master franchising partner, Niel Cronje] and myself have become very fond of our Keller Williams friends and their value system of ‘God, family, then business.’”

“This is not just another international brand,” added Cronje. “This a real American company with a uniquely nontraditional, interdependent model that is growing globally. This is the most innovative real estate brand in the world, the one that is committed to building ‘careers worth having, businesses worth owning, and lives worth living,’ and the only brand that is truly for the agents. We can certainly see that the Keller Williams culture will sit very well with our market.”

Gouws has over 30 years of experience in the South African real estate market including overseeing gated developments and land acquisition for commercial and residential developments in Pretoria. Cronje also brings extensive business experience to the team with over 21 years of experience in both national and international real estate, as well as setting up and running his own profitable franchise operation. “The missing link in my business,” he pointed out, “was Keller Williams.”

Tertius Zitzke, CEO and owner of AccTech Systems, is the partner responsible for managing the technology and will be integrating the South African and Keller Williams systems. Completing the master franchise team is real estate industry icon Stefan Swanepoel, the New York Times Best-Selling Author of Surviving Your Serengeti: 7 Skills to Master Business & Life andrenowned inspirational speaker on topics including leadership, personal development, technology, and annual real estate trends.

The two new KW Worldwide teams, led by Gouws, Cronje, Zitzke, and Swanepoel in the Southern Africa region and Tony Eddy in Indonesia, join nearly 77,000 associates and 675 offices in the United States and Canada, where the company has been franchising since 1991. “We are proud to be joining a company with such a strong system of beliefs and policy of putting real estate agents first,” said Eddy. “We are excited to see how we’ll thrive in the Indonesian market with the support of our new Keller Williams partners.”

Eddy, Chairman and CEO of Tony Eddy & Associates (TEA), has more than 14 years in the real estate project marketing consulting business, covering the Jakarta and Bali markets. Eddy received his MBA in Finance, Investment & Banking as well as his MSc in Real Estate and Urban Economics from University of Wisconsin – Madison, and is a former Real Estate Credit Manager with Citibank – Jakarta. Eddy is also a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the first and only CIPS residing in Indonesia, and a member of the Indonesian Association of Real Estate Brokers (AREBI), where he serves as President for Bali Chapter.

In 2010, Keller Williams Realty CEO Mark Willis announced the expansion of Keller Williams Realty beyond North America and earlier this year, the company awarded its first overseas franchise in Vietnam. Negotiations with potential franchisees in several other countries continue as Keller Williams Realty intends to add 50,000 associates worldwide over the next 10 years.

“We’ve been asked why we’ve chosen worldwide expansion in the current market, and the answer is simple: momentum! Our proven models and systems allow our associates and offices to succeed in any real estate market,” said Willis. “As we continue to see years of unprecedented growth and technological innovation, expanding our opportunities abroad signifies the next logical step towards our growth as a company.”

Allow Myself to Introduce… Myself
Austin Powers couldn’t had said it any better.  It’s time to get reacquainted.  There are some beneficial links on my site that have been there quite a while.  These sites answer questions that have been asked of me lately by agents.  Here are 3 of the more popular ones:

This free site allows the user to set “recipes.”  Such as automatically updating your Twitter profile photo when you update your Facebook profile photo.  Tons of tasks that we want to do, but never have time to do.

You do not need any other antivirus and you haven’t for many years.  This free product from Microsoft does the trick, and does the trick quite well.

iPad or iPhone user?  How about a Droid user?  Then this will be the best $2.99 purchase in the App Store or Google Play you have ever made.  Flash plays on this browser and this is one, fast browser!

Social Media – Random Thoughts in a Hot Summer

Hello Fall, Hello College Football!  It has been an incredible fun summer here but I know there are MANY of you who are glad those kiddies are headed back to school and our work schedules can get back to ‘normal!’  I am SUPER excited to share a SUCCESS story in Social Media from Twitter-sphere. This is NOT a Realtor success story but just simply the power and reach of Social Media.

So with out further adieu….Meet Dan & The Wildfires.  Dan (Dan_HL) started following me on twitter early this spring.  I had never met nor heard of this ‘Dan’. He was a RANDOM follower but his web site was featured on his Twitter account and I could see he was involved in music.  So I clicked his web site, listened to a few songs, and then did the unthinkable….I spent $10 on his album.  This punk just cost me $10!  (kidding of course, he is a lovely kid!) Dan tweets A LOT, he has cultivated a beautiful Social Media plan so there was only 1 thing to do, I had to interview him.

Below is our email conversation.

Dan:  I’m really excited that you asked me to be a part of this! I love when people ask me to talk about social media. It makes me feel like I’m doing something right…Let me know if you want me to be clearer on anything below. Thanks again for getting me involved with this!

Susan: How big of an impact has Social Media made on your band?

Dan: Social media has been HUGE for me. Putting aside the fact that I’ve been able to expose so many people to my music who otherwise would not have heard it, I’ve also been able to connect with my audience on a whole new level using various social networks. For my band, social media has been the difference between looking out into a crowded room, playing for strangers and providing the entertainment at an awesome party with friends. Not only has social media helped us reach more fans, it’s also made our live shows a lot more fun. I’m not sure if that answers the question, but for the spot my budding career is at, social networking has been a game changer.

Susan: You are very engaging through all your platforms (twitter, FB, instagram) where do most of your followers connect with you?

Dan: It’s a pretty mixed bag. I make the initial connection with most fans on Twitter. I love the way that Twitter is set up, because it makes it so easy to find people who have similar interests as you, or are interested in what you do, or the service that you provide. From there, people generally stumble on to my instagram profile and Facebook page on their own. To directly answer your question, I’m constantly tweeting, so I’d have to say that is my biggest point of communication and connection.

Susan: BTW,Genius Twitter move on your part..Can you guestimate the increase of sales of your album just from twitter? Additionally, did you see your FB & web traffic increase?

Dan: First of all, thank you! Secondly, the impact that my obsession with twitter has had on album sales, Facebook, and web traffic has been astronomical. I can’t say by what percent, since I’ve been tweeting pretty diligently since the album was released, but everything is steadily climbing. Pretty awesome stuff.

Susan: Feel free to plug away your new album…our realtors spend a ton of time in their car and can always use a new album on rotation.

Dan: Something that’s exciting for me is that I’ve been using Twitter, Facebook, and instagram to try and connect with more fans, but I haven’t yet experienced what it’s like to build a buzz on these platforms with a solid fanbase in place. This fall, I’ll be coming out with a new folk-rock record, and while I’ll still continue to network and expose more people to what I’m doing, I’ll also be able to get a lot of people talking about it right away. Get ready, internet. I’m coming for you.
